I caved! The allure of not being able to easily find a MSRP priced Wii /Wii combo package ate away at my wall. I'm so weak...
Earlier today I just happened to pull up www.wiitracker.com and saw I had just missed the Wii being available bundled for 299.99 with Smash Bros Brawl at www.toysrus.com . I happened to press my luck and go to the site and to my surprise, there it was. I impulsively bought it, though to make myself feel better I had the girl click the button after I entered it all in. For some reason, it's a lot easier for me to accept if she bought it over me. It will be shipped in a couple days.
Later in the day, the girl and I went to Costco as well as Best Buy. I compared pricing of games and controllers. Wii want a couple controllers, which we will buy through purchasing a nunchuck and the Wiiplay game which is bundled together with a controller. I showed even greater weakness by purchasing Super Mario Galaxy.
The girl and I came back from or foray into Wii-dom and watched a couple Wii related videos. One was showcasing the not yet available Wiifit and Wii balance board. If you have not seen it yet, I suggest taking a look. I'm not sure if there is some internal satisfaction knowing that instead of purchasing a lazy machine I purchased a machine with possible health benefits, but I'm sure that some part of me is happy with that.
Regardless of my weakness, the first person who shows up at my door, bows and says 'Wii would like to play" in some resemblance of a Japanese accent gets their own Mii!

Shouldn't it be "Wii like to Partii"? haha
I didn't think Smash Bros. Brawl would be that much fun, but it was awesome! It totally rocks if you are button smasher like me. Super Mario Galaxy will kick my butt though.
I think that anyone you know who comes to your door and says "Wii would like to play" should get their own Mii. Don't be stingy with the Miis!
You are correct about the Partii. So changed.
I think you'll find the Super Mario Galaxy is a lot easier to play than you are thinking.
