Prosper

Prosper is an online community of lenders and borrowers I have played around with first in January and (after my first 50 dollar didn't up and disappear) more since May.  All in all, I have 17  active micro loans around 50 dollars each that are getting paid back and another 200 dollars in the account waiting for a borrower that meets my criteria. 


I was at first skeptical, but valuing a website that gives you ample information to make an informed decision, I decided to try it out.  So far I'm up about 20 dollars.  I'm hoping to get to the point where I have 50 dollars of payments coming in through the month to sustain another loan.  Once that occurs, I will stop paying in and just 'let it ride'.  They have a feature where you can setup automatic bidding plans based on specific criteria you care about - home ownership, Debt to Income ratio (DTI), income levels, delinquencies, bankcard utilization, etc. 

All in all I've been impressed.  Here is a 'control panel' screen shot:
